Gigs In The Garden August 24

We are opening up our gardens for a series of large-scale outdoor events this August. Join us this summer for #gigsinthegardens...

Saturday 24 August: A day of up and coming artists from the East Midlands, curated by BBC Introducing East Midlands.

Demons Of Ruby Mae
On stage 9pm
The Leicester-born musicians Jonny Gavin and Adam Rowley are eletronic-indie band Demons Of Ruby Mae. The band have been in the studio working with producer Phil Bulleyment (Gaz Coombes, The Slow Readers Club, Blossoms) and are expected to release their 2nd album in 2020 after a string of singles throughout 2019. Getting exposure through US hit series ‘Suits’, their hit ‘Beneath The Surface’ gained them critical acclaim globally.

On stage 7.30pm
Leicester based five piece Arcades are a rich, musical explosion. With his heart on his sleeve, lead singer Tommy owns the moment through raw emotion and passion that oozes from a place deep inside. Looking like a deleted scene from Scarface and with foot stomping rhythm the rest of the band are certainly not in the shadows when it comes to their pure talent and energy when playing to a live audience.

Harri Georgio
On stage 6.30pm
With the energy of a live dance act, matched with lyrical verses and Reggae infused melodies, UK artist and producer Harri Georgio sits in a lane all of his own. Taking influence from Rap, Reggae, Rock and Electronic Music, Harri’s self-produced and distinctive sound has received support from the likes of David Rodigan, BBC Introducing, Radio 1Xtra and international blogs including Reggaeville. Harri will be performing with his live band The Well Behaved Young Men.

Oceans Apart

Oceans apart focus on bringing a strong rock sound to their music with melody still and catchy choruses and a mix of new modern samples. The band put on a high energy performance where they try to whip up any crowd they are placed in front of.

Judith Ude
On stage 4.30pm
Judith's voice is her main instrument and so she layers vocal loops, Celtic harp and samples to create her sound. Her African heritage, gospel singing roots, faith, and love of classical music, all comes out in her music. Lyrically, her songs are rooted in love, hope and positivity.

Mason Bailey

On stage 1.30pm
Gazelle describe themselves as four working class lads uninspired by today's music charts writing real music. Brought together by a mutual love of British Subculture.
