Leicester Symphony Orchestra is delighted to welcome colleagues from the University of Leicester's Physics and Astronomy Department, who will present a range of free pre-concert space science activities from 6.30pm.

The Garden Suite at De Montfort Hall will be temporary home for the planeterrella – a bell jar-like environment simulating space light activity – and a number of meteorites.

6.30pm Pre-concert panel discussion with three different perspectives on space and the planets:
Music – John Andrews
History of space science – Dr Gillian Butcher
Science of Space – Jane MacArthur

The retiring collection will be for the Lord Mayor’s Appeal
