Karen Blixen: Out of Africa.

The wonderful semi-autobiographical study of Blixen’s life running a coffee plantation in Kenya. Isak Dinesen, (Blixen’s birth name), became the most famous Danish writer of her generation and easily the best storyteller since Hans Christian Andersen. Come and find out more about this courageous woman who was such an amazingly vivid weaver of stories.

Lectures start at 12.30pm and last approximately one hour in the Victoria Suite. Places are limited, and available on a first come, first served basis. Please book early to guarantee your place.

Customer information - car parking A series of regeneration works have started on Victoria Park. During this time, the pay and display car parks situated off Granville Road (next to the hall) will be partially closed and fewer parking spaces available. Access to the car park has also been changed. The new, temporary, entrance is on Granville Road; closer to London Road. Please allow plenty of time to find parking and arrive in time for the concert.
