Thunder are an English rock band who play hard rock and heavy metal. They originally formed in 1989 when the band Terraplane broke up, leaving lead singer Danny Bowes and guitarist/main songwriter Luke Morley to form a new group.
The sensational return of UK rock legends Thunder, who had a Top 10 UK album earlier this year, continues into 2016 with a three-disc set documenting the story of the band’s latest, Classic Rock Award nominated album, Wonder Days, plus a bonus series of three Limited Edition 12“ Vinyl Albums. Entitled All You Can Eat, it documents the story of Wonder Days, Thunder’s first studio album for 6 years, and includes a live album, a live in-the-studio session, and a documentary film.
Since forming in 1989, the Londoners have established themselves among the UK’s most consistent attractions, notching up some twenty Top Fifty singles and cultivating a well deserved reputation as consummate live performers.
Having been feted by Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith and Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, their first two albums, Back Street Symphony (1990) and Laughing On Judgement Day (1992), both were certified Gold in the UK. With a lineage dating back to the cream of British hard rock – Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, The Who and Deep Purple – and song writing greats such as the Kinks, The Beatles and The Faces, the band’s sound is a timeless marriage of unforgettable melodies and sheer rock power.
Last year’s Wonder Days album (their first for 6 years) entered the UK national album chart at number 9, and their recent All You Can Eat 2 CD + DVD went straight into the music DVD chart at number 1.
Thunder are now more popular than ever before. &a
