After a search for a local dog, we have found Teddy, a cavachon dog!
Teddy will be treading the boards as Musetta's dog in the cafe scene, with brass bands and lots of street children. Teddy is a three year-old Cavachon dog, which is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise and has a lovely wavy- haired coat. He lives locally in Leicester, and has such a relaxed and gentle character that his owner Gloria has trained him as a therapy dog. Teddy visits a residential home for the elderly at the end of his road twice a week, and loves to be petted. Teddy’s greatest love though is chasing squirrels and playing outside in the countryside. Teddy will no doubt love all the attention when he takes part in La Boheme and with his chilled out temperament will not fazed by noise or bright light. His owner Gloria Anderson, who is retired, is excited to be appearing with Teddy as Musetta’s maid.
