This exciting programme features some of the many highlights from Bizet's Carmen. The orchestra  welcomes the return of soprano Denise Leigh, winner of TV's "Operatunity" and who sang with the orchestra for Verdi's Requiem in April 2010. As well as joining the orchestra for Carmen, she will perform songs and arias; including pieces by Delibes, Gounod and Rachmaninov. It is then left for Dvorak's spirited 8th Symphony to round off a thrilling concert.

This exciting programme features some of the many highlights from Bizet's Carmen. This opera has provided some of the most memorable and enjoyable tunes in classical music.
