Virginia Woolf's 'Orlando'

Join us for Literature At Lunchtime - now in its sixth year. Dr Jane Mackay explores the life, influences and themes that inspire these great writers. Dr Jane's passion and enthusiasm continues to enthral.

Orlando is one of Woolf's strangest works. It explores the androgyny which she longed for and which ould, she  hoped, free her as a creative writer from the terrible inhibitions of the need to be 'the angel in the house'. Come and enjoy her time-travelling as a multiple and complex self.
